Marseille bidding to continue 'almost perfect' Ligue 1 start
French club have won three out of three and are yet to concede
Marseille will be looking to continue their perfect start to the Ligue 1 season when they host Clermont on Sunday. The southern giants have won three out of three so far and are yet to concede a goal. New signing Alexis Sanchez has been in impressive form for Marseille, scoring three goals in his first three games.
Igor Tudor's men will be confident of victory against Clermont, who have lost two of their opening three matches.
Marseille are aiming to win their first Ligue 1 title since 2010. They finished second last season behind Paris Saint-Germain and will be hoping to challenge the champions again this year.
Clermont, meanwhile, are looking to avoid relegation. They finished 17th last season and will be keen to improve on that position this year.
Marseille will be without suspended midfielder Jordan Veretout for the match against Clermont.
The French international has been one of Marseille's key players this season and his absence will be a blow to the team. However, Marseille have plenty of other quality players in their squad and they should still be too strong for Clermont.
The match between Marseille and Clermont will be played at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday at 20:00 CEST.
