Election Results Projecting EVP as Largest Party with 258 Seats; Progressive Alliance Close Behind

According to the official results posted by the European Parliament, the center-right European People's Party (EVP) has secured the largest number of seats in the 2024 European Parliament election. The EVP won 258 seats, maintaining its position as the most popular party alliance in the European Union.

The Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) came in second with 215 seats, making significant gains since the previous election. The liberal Renew Europe party alliance also performed well, winning 107 seats.

The election results indicate a moderate shift in the political landscape in Europe. While the EVP remains the strongest bloc, the S&D and Renew Europe alliances have gained ground, potentially reshaping the power dynamics within the European Parliament.
